Moss off. Years back on.
Black streaking and moss removed at low pressure, so your shingles keep their granules and your roof keeps its life.
Why bother
Those black streaks are alive, and they are eating your roof.
The dark staining on Ontario roofs is algae. The green clumps are moss. Both hold water against the shingles, lift the edges, and shorten the life of a roof that cost a great deal to put on.
A careful low-pressure treatment kills the growth and rinses it away. The house looks dramatically better from the road, and the roof stops degrading early.
Bright-Side is a family business. The same family that quotes your job is the one that turns up to do it, and that is the whole reason the standard does not drift from one visit to the next.

- Moss and algae killed Treated at the root so it does not grow straight back.
- No granule loss Soft washing only, because pressure destroys shingles.
- Debris cleared Whatever our work loosens gets cleaned out of the troughs.
- Photos from up top You get to see the parts of your roof you never see.

How it works
Three steps to a roof that looks its age, not older.
Send a photo from the street
That is usually enough to see what is growing.
We treat it gently
Low pressure only, and the growth is killed rather than scraped.
It keeps looking right
Treated roofs stay clean for years, not for one season.
Pricing
What changes the price.
Roof pricing follows size, pitch and how much growth has taken hold.
- Roof area Measured off the footprint and slope rather than guessed.
- Pitch Steep roofs need more setup and more care.
- Amount of moss Thick moss takes longer than surface staining.
- Roof material Asphalt, metal and flat roofs each get their own method.
- Access Landscaping, fences and slope all affect ladder placement.
- Gutters included Worth adding, since the debris ends up there anyway.
Good to know
Questions we get asked.
Is roof cleaning safe for shingles?
Done at low pressure, yes. It is high-pressure washing that blasts granules off shingles, and we never use it on a roof.
How long do results last?
Usually several years, because the growth is killed rather than knocked loose. Untreated roofs green up again within a season.
Do you clean metal and flat roofs?
Yes. The method changes with the material, so tell us what you have when you call.
Will you walk on my roof?
Only where it is safe and necessary. Most of the work can be done from ladders and from the edge.
Does it damage the landscaping?
No. Beds get wet down before we start and rinsed when we finish.
Should I do the gutters at the same time?
It makes sense. Cleaning a roof loosens debris that lands in the troughs, so most people book gutter cleaning alongside it.
